We made a video!

Morning all, sorry I have not posted in awhile! We have been prepping the last two weeks for a mini video to get more exposure in the NOCO region. I never imagined how much work goes into prepping for one of these; my salon is very eclectic and although I didn’t want to change my style I knew I needed to reorganize and refine the interior a bit. I’ve also been refining services and our website. I had 5 techs out this week; another employee working to finish up her licensing so as you can understand its been CRAZY!

I have a very crazy sense of style….it isn’t everyone’s favorite, but when I opened this place I really wanted to spend my time (as it is 80% at the salon) in a space that made me happy. Especially after. being stuck in a boring cubicle for 15 years….I always wanted to own my own business. Even as a little girl I always put myself in roles of authority during play time with my sisters and friends. I think I do a pretty good job…always learning and improving, right?!?

Anyways, yeah I decided with the full staff we have now it was time to invest in some marketing that will make an impact so we worked hard to deep clean and upgrade some furniture and organization in the salon this week. UGH I am tired. Don’t get me wrong, it was needed anyway; with how many nails we do some of the chairs were showing some ware and some painting needed to be completed AND we are adding an esthetician to our staff this spring! I wasn’t sure I wanted to add more services to UH but my new future. daughter in law really wants to come work for us so I am going to continue to build our family empire. :). So keep an eye out for Alaina in the next couple months! So yeah been pulling out the equipment from storage and re decorating and deep cleaning.

Lastly, just a reminder UH is a learning salon; I never turn down a newbie if they are willing to put the time and energy into learning more and trusting me as their mentor. But this also means half my staff are young, inexperienced with pretty much everything to do with the industry. So be nice and remember if you have an issue with anything; don’t hesitate to speak up at your appointment. Please book with our Rookie’s they are trying ti grow and get better. Have patience and know I do price them just above student pricing but we also guarantee our work. Talk to us.

Peace, Love, & Hippie On
